Our journey began with a mother who taught the value of learning practical skills from a young age. What started as a hobby has grown into a thriving business built on family, tradition and craftsmanship.
Everything we create reflects that blend of inherited knowledge and a fresh, modern eye for interiors. From reupholstered furniture to bespoke soft furnishings, every piece is made with close attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.

Our Story
At the heart of Creature Comforts Upholstery is a simple belief: beautiful, practical interiors should be made with care and tailored to the people who live with them.
We work closely with customers to create bespoke pieces that feel personal, whether that means reviving a much-loved chair, making made-to-measure curtains and blinds, or adding the finishing touches with cushions, lampshades and other soft furnishings.

Founder and Upholsterer
Helen is the creative hands behind every project. She specialises in both modern and traditional upholstery, alongside beautifully made soft furnishings for homes and everyday living.
Known in the workshop as the “fabric queen”, Helen has a brilliant eye for textiles and loves helping clients choose fabrics that bring personality and character into their homes.
Hannah
Shop Manager
Hannah keeps the shop running smoothly, managing samples and helping coordinate collections and deliveries.
She brings organisation, warmth and a love of beautiful florals, helping make the customer experience feel friendly, easy and personal from start to finish.
Murphy
Head of Security
Chief napper, workshop companion and part-time Head of Security.
Usually asleep while the work happens, but always close by to keep spirits high and make visitors feel at home.
